I can't say that this anime has vampires, but it looks pretty creepy and I think that you might enjoy it. It's called Umineko No Nako Koro Ni. It's an anime that has some dark themes and uses a lot of witches treminology. It's a genre of horror and fantasy. No vampires, so if you are absolutely deadset on them you might as well skip it. Although I will warn you, if you don't follow it well you can get pretty confused later on. It's also on-going at the moment, so if you would prefer for a finished anime don't go for it.

It has it's ups and downs, but I would surely reccomend it to those who like horror =D

Well, I reccomend Soul Eater, it is pretty good in the 'spooky' thing. And it is damn hilarious!

I haven't watched it myself, but essentially once you've gotten into the intricate plans created by the protagonist, as well as some of the complex goings on, the "creepy" factor is only just to highlight those factors.

That's pretty much it.

If I had to recommend an anime from my experience...

Guren Lagann. If the comedy doesn't do it for you, the over-the-top-crazy-stuff that happens will. And this is besides the fact that it's an anime.

Unfortunately, I've been on hiatus with watching it...
