If Hoenn's Trainers Could Go to Sinnoh

Blaine's rematch team is the same exact team Flannery's rematch team in Emerald is, the only difference is instead of Arcanine, he has Magmortar. We do not need Flannery copying Blaine any more than Blaine already copied Flannery.

Anyway... Roxanne would get Probopass, Brawly would get Toxicroak, Wattson would get Magnezone and Electivire, Flannery's team would remain the same, Norman would get Purugly, Winona would get Togekiss, Tate and Liza would get Gardevoir and Gallade (I know, Gardevoir's 3rd gen, but it fits now,) Juan would get Floatzel, Sidney would get Honchkrow, Phoebe would get Mismagius, Froslass, Dusknoir, and Drifblim, Glacia would get Abomasnow and Mamoswine, Drake would get Garchomp (Only nonlegendary Dradon Sinnoh Pokemon,) and Wallace would get Lumineon. As for Frontier Brains... um... Noland would use whatever, Brandon would use the legendary pixies... that's all I got. *Never got to anyone for the gold in Emerald. XP*

Amen to that. I was disappointed about the vast similarity, as well. Plus, Magmortar simply does not go well with Flannery.

However, in hypothetical rematches, I think Flannery should get a Ninetales at least, since it is a Pokemon found in Hoenn, not represented in gym teams
and also since Flannery has a Vulpix in the manga. She also needs a Pokemon with high Special Defense.

For reason of diversity I am officially expanding this thread to include Pokemon of generations other than the fourth which fit the trainer. Just make sure there is a justification behind the choice.

Sapphire - Gallade: Have you seen the manga? They're both good living in the wilderness!

Wally - Snover: Both are green, and are incredibly friendly.

Roxanne - Cranidos: Both have big heads.

Brawly - Croagunk: Both have powerful fists.

Wattson - Electrivire: Both have something extreme when it comes to electricity (Wattson is an electric addict, Electrivire has the ability to hurt somebody with it's tails.)

Flannery - Monferno: Both are energetic.

Norman - Chatot: Both have experience (Norman: Gym Leader Chatot: Annoying people.)

Winona - Gliscor: Both are extremely weird.

Tate and Liza - Chingling and Mime Jr. respectivly: All are very young.

Juan - Floatzel: Both have that french look.

Wallace - Lumineon: Both are loved by many.

I agree with you. I have been thinking about my choices and have realized that Wallace is best off with a Lumineon (my original idea). For Brawly, does this make sense?

Toxicroak, Poliwrath, Machamp, Medicham, Hitmontop, Hariyama

Poliwrath may be a Gen 1 Pokemon, but is the closest thing to a surfing fighter. Plus, in a double battle, Toxicroak's Wet Skin + Poliwrath's Surf could provide healing and damage at the same type.

For the Elite Four, I present these ideas, based on some leader/elite rematch mechanic which should look familiar:

Sidney: Mightyena, Houndoom, Shiftry, Weavile, Sharpedo, Absol
Phoebe: Gengar, Shedinja, Mismagius, Sableye, Banette, Dusknoir
Glacia: Abomasnow, Glaceon, Froslass, Lapras, Glalie, Walrein
Drake: Dragonite, Garchomp, Altaria, Kingdra, Flygon, Salamence

What are the bolded Pokemon? The powerhouses of former/current Indigo elites (Karen, Agatha, Lorelei, Lance). Leader/elite teams have a strong tendency to channel each other, and in my opinion all four of those Pokemon go well with the trainers.

It is really interesting that the speciality types of the 4 Hoenn Elite 4 members overlap the Indigo Elites. Also, 3 out of 4 of them share the same speciality types as RBY/FRLG Elites.

Yeah, but flannery's personality implies that she would like fast pokemon... besides, i don't think there's a large selection of fast fire types that aren't legendary or starters before sinnoh... aside from ponyta and rapidash anyway.
