***For the Thread Maker*** In summary:
1. Before posting make sure your team is finished. This means your team MUST consist of 6 Pokemon with Items, Natures, EV Spreads, and 4 Moves. It is also a very good idea to play test your team before you post your RMT. 2. Do not copy and paste 6 OU Pokemon as your team. Put some time and effort into what Pokemon you are putting on your team and how they work together. No one wants to rate generic teams that are just pasted from the analysis. 3. Do not post gimmick teams. This section is for competitive Pokemon teams so teams that are not competitively viable in the metagame they are designed for are not allowed. 4. Do not post threads for single Pokemon, questions, or discussion. This section is for the rating of teams only. For a single Pokemon rate use the Competitive Singles Rate thread. For help with competitive Pokemon in general use the Ask a Question Thread. For discussion of the metagame and competitive Pokemon in general use the Competitive Discussion Section. 5. Explain why you have chosen a certain Pokemon. Before you post RMT thread, have some actual words to say instead of one line descriptions that give raters no information. Raters are not mind readers, in order for them to give you a proper rate they need to understand your thinking. For each Pokemon on your team, you need to explain why you selected it, its role, and what it helps you achieve. This should be a few sentences, single words are not allowed. See Rule 7, Formatting, for examples. 6. Use pictures if possible. While not required, posting a nice picture of the Pokemon on your team makes it much easier to read, which also makes it easier to rate. 7. All RMTs must be formatted properly. The better your post looks, the more likely you are to get a good rate. Here is what a your post should look like: Introduction:
Pokemon 1 @ Item Ability: EVs: Nature: - move - move - move - move *Detailed description of the Pokemon's purpose to the team* Pokemon 2 @ Item Ability: EVs: Nature: - move - move - move - move *Detailed description of the Pokemon's purpose to the team* Pokemon 3 @ Item Ability: EVs: Nature: - move - move - move - move *Detailed description of the Pokemon's purpose to the team* Pokemon 4 @ Item Ability: EVs: Nature: - move - move - move - move *Detailed description of the Pokemon's purpose to the team* Pokemon 5 @ Item Ability: EVs: Nature: - move - move - move - move *Detailed description of the Pokemon's purpose to the team* Pokemon 6 @ Item Ability: EVs: Nature: - move - move - move - move *Detailed description of the Pokemon's purpose to the team*

***For the Raters*** In summary:
1. Before rating, read the entire first post. You will look silly if you rate or criticise something without first reading the thread creator’s reasoning. While not infractable unless repeatedly done, this will most likely damage your credibility as a rater. 2. If you are not knowledgeable in DPPt Competitive Battling, DO NOT RATE. The last thing people want when posting a team is bad advice. Another reason to avoid posting, is that sometimes people post their own RMT with little knowledge and accept any suggestion that comes their way. This will only result in a negative experience for everyone involved.
3. Do NOT Troll/Flame the thread maker. From now on, this too will be a very strictly enforced rule. If the thread is really that bad, report it! Reporting it requires very little effort and informs a Mod that a bad post has been made, and you save yourself a negative reputation and some infractions/warnings.
Failure to comply with these rules will earn you infraction points/warnings. Last edited by BaldWombat; 2nd August 2010 at 6:07 PM. |
