Contest Tie is long. It's been going on for 5-6 years by now, I think. I tried printing it out for a friend, because she isn't able to access a computer for very long. I copied the first few chapters and it was already over 40 pages on Word. xD

I don't think it's on FF.net because I haven't seen it there. I think it's only on the Shipping Fics forums.

Demons of Metropolis is pretty AU. There aren't any contests, but Pokemon are still used. As you can tell by the title, it's a supernatural type of thing with angels, demons, mermaids, etc. It's great if that's what you like. BTW, Treehouse Saga and Demons of Metropolis are both rated R, so watch out. ;P

I wanted to post a new topic, but I can't think of one right now. I might edit this or just be lazy and wait for someone else. (I prefer Option #2 )

May and Drew would team up. Then they'd win. That's all I have to say.

Well, not really. I think May and Drew would team up together because they know that they work pretty well together, and are considered good coordinators. Plus, I want constant bickering, so they have to be together. I believe they would win as a team because as shown in the Wynaut episode and Arcanine episode, they are pretty powerful. And how could I be a Contestshipper if I say they don't win?

The question confuses me a bit, but I wrote down what I thought. If that's not what you meant, I'll change it. (I have a tendancy to misunderstand things. xD)

Hehe, well. Of course they'd win right? Roserade and Blaziken team up and beat Harley and...um his partner (make up an OC and insert here). It would be a heated battle and Drew and May would be losing at first becuase of their bickering. But something came over them and they started to cooperate. WEEE! They win! ;D

Make up a summary of a Halloween based CS story. =) Will they go to a masquerade? Or will they go trick-or-treating together, annoying each other endlessly? It's up to you! =D

Make up a summary of a Halloween based CS story.

It was a dark and stormy night... Well, maybe not.

If I had to make a summary for a story, I'd say that there is a contest going on in (insert name here) City and May and Drew (possibly Harley and Solidad as well) meet up together. They hear about a party going on and decide to go....together (that's where the CS kicks in (; ). They are then nominated as the night's couple and have to dance together.

That's all I have for now, haha.

I would like to go along with granbull guy's idea of Prince & Princess. Or even better, Phantom of the Opera. I've (for some reason) always imagined there being a party where people dress up as one of their pokemon, then I'd want May as Beautifly and Drew as Absol. (I won't say Masquerain because I feel that's too girly, and since I'm his fangirl, he must look manly at all times.)

Once again, granbull guy's idea is the same as mine. I love the idea of a Masquerade party of some sort, but it would be absolutely hilarious having May trying to get Drew to Trick-or-Treat. Of course, being the stick-in-the-mud he sometimes is, he wouldn't want to but May would make him, and we all know why. (:

First off, they'd win without a doubt. Drew and May love is unstoppable. Because Masquerain and Beautifly can breed, I'd love for them to be used, because it shows more evidence for Contestshipping. Also, if Roserade and Beautifly, Blaziken and Absol, Flygon and Wartortle. They join forces opposed to being against each other in order to fight for the love of their trainer's love for each other.

Oooh, can you put a link for it? I really need to catch up on fanfiction, so maybe I'll get back into it.

I read a multi-chaptered story (not sure if it's still ongoing or not) and May ended up getting drunk on punch. It was pretty funny for me, but it wasn't very funny for May or Drew. :P

By the way, it's always hard to come up with scenarios, so don't feel bad. Also, you aren't forced to answer every single question, so you could skip it. ;) (I thought your scenario was fine, Applesony!)

Before I get shot, I will come out and say that any information I mention is completely objective. I am a very rationalistic person and I like to find evidence before creating thoughts. I have also taken psychology classes, so I try to base all my shipping discussions out of my knowledge for psychology. That being said, I am a slight advanceshipper. *holds up hands to show he is not armed*. I have seen all the "hint" videos about pokeshipping, advanceshipping, contestshipping, pearlshipping, Ikarishipping...and just about every other popular ship. Here is what I have to say: (N.B. I do not intend to start any flame wars on this thread; I respect other people's views just as much as my own)

I would like to start with a question to the Contestshipping forum, as I am fairly new to pokeshipping, C-shipping, and adv-shipping. Why is it that most c-shippers are also p-shippers? They don't have much correlation at all, the only basis being that it splits adv-shipping (for most pokeshippers I've talked to).

Having recently re-seen all the advance generation episodes, I decided to put all my thoughts on paper (both literal and figurative, I'm doing a psych essay on relationships in Pokemon), and one kept popping up: the theme of rivalry. In the original series, Gary and Ash had a love/hate relationship. They hated each others' very souls but if one of their pokemon was injured, they would always help each other. The same applies to the Jhoto journeys with Ash and Silver. It also applies to May and Drew in the Advance generation, and Dawn and Paul in D/P. The slight differences are (obviously) that the latter matchups are between a boy and a girl.

I used to be torn between C-shipping and adv-shipping, but the reason I went to A-shipping is that Ash and May weren't rivals. In some of the C-shipping hint videos, I see May under pressure about showing off against Drew, or that she wants to compete against him, but...isn't that what rivals are for? I mean, I have a rival at school who is a girl (I'm a guy) in athletics, academics, and just about everything, and we hate each others' guts while competing, but if one of us is hurt, we look after each other like friends are supposed to. I guess my point is that through personal experience, I know that rivalry looks like love/hate, but we don't like each other that way, even if half the school thinks we look cute together. I personally know she doesn't like me beyond a friend considering she a has a boyfriend whom she is very happy with, and I...have my own crush and such. Could it be possible that Drew and May are the same way? They hate each other during battles, but outside of them, they are really close friends. For example, the scene where Harley accidentally reveals that he just hates May, Drew stands up for her like a good rival and friend should, and when she is in danger, Drew really steps up and tries to help.

To warp up this MASSIVE post, I'm more neutral towards either pairing, its just that my personal experience tells me that some of the scenes that have been described as C-shipping don't really seem like C-shipping at all. Before the massive outburst begins, lets just say that I have plenty of doubts on A-shipping as well. As far as I know, both Ash and Drew really like May, but she sees them both as close friends. I don't think I've seen enough evidence to make a psychoanalytical argument that May likes either one more. *takes a deep breath* Anyone care to respond, or have I out-stayed my welcome?

Since its a good question, I'll give my two cents:

I think May would go into Pokemon Researching, seeing her love of adventure and action.

Drew would probably go either into the neighboring branch of Training, having seen his love of awe-striking moves. I also think he would make a good doctor or salesperson. Actually, he would make an awesome salesperson with his endless supply of roses =P
