Yes but it can happen also in a little less episodes. I'll tell you what's the problem? that in Sinnoh the gaps between the gyms are very big. Look the gaps in Hoenn region. Normal gaps. Not to much, and not too little. Here the gaps make us to wait more that we've used to (Although this happens with very good episodes).

Yep. It should be about 5-20 episodes inbetween each Gym battle. That is about 5 months inbetween.

I can see a gap like that coming, I don't mind it though.

Both Kanto and Hoenn had shorter gaps between Gyms. Granted they didn't have as much going on in them as Sinnoh does, but it shows the writers could make the main game region short and quick if they wanted.

It wouldnt. Maybe 1 Gym would be shorter than the other 7 but if they were 20 episodes(4-5 months) apart, that would be 2-3 years(maybe even more), counting Contests, Fillers, Character Development, New Moves, Captures, Releases, Rival-Recurring Character Episodes.

More is happening in Sinnoh then in Hoenn.

Back in Hoenn we only had Ash's Gym Battle Arch, May's Contest Arch, and Team Aqua / Magma Planning. Aqua / Magma was beaten pretty early compared to early Teams though. Now we have Team Galactic that's run longer then Aqua / Magma, Hunter J and her troop, Ash VS Paul, Barry, and even Team Rocket seems to be doing more then they were before. Ash didn't even have a Rival in Hoenn until the Hoenn League. Here he has two during the season and will probably have one more by time they reach the Pokemon League.

In between each Gym they check up on most of the important Characters. We all know that Dawn's going to get at least one Contest and it may or may not span multiple episodes. Dawn and Brock will probably get their own episodes, too. We'll probably see Paul at least once in between Gyms. The other Rivals seem to make a showing, too, but not always in the same episode as each other. These are things that slow down progress.

The gap here is particularly long because of Heart / Soul advertising. Now that it's over things should be moving along faster.

I think the last Contest will be a 2-parter against Jessie for the final ribbon.

I acutally also think that the last contest will have lots of hype about it - so a 2 parter does seem likely as it is an important contest really! Last ribbon for Dawn will have a lot of hype just like how all of Ashes last Gym Badges had lots of hype about them as well. If I remember correctly they also created a few episodes around Mays last ribbon in Hoenn so I do highly expect them to do this for Dawn as well - and for Johanna to make an appearance because of the significance she holds!!!!!

But I do hope there will maybe be 1 more contest within the Suiren Contest and Dawns final one where Jessie can win one or we see Zoey, Kenny or Nando win their last ribbon however I expect Nando has all of his and possibly badges too!!!!!

So I'm hoping that with the last few contests left in Sinnoh the hype about them does rise immensley - even more than it already is which I explained about!

Maybe. it can be very nice. because Dawn lost in her last double performance contest, and maybe this time she will win.

It would be nice if she got one more Double Performance in before the Grand Festival where it's required because ...

... Dawn did Double Performance once before in Hearthome City's Contest. You probably don't remember because she was eliminated unusually early (in Appeals). I really expected them to do the Double Appeal thing more during the season rather then save it for the Grand Festival since they introduced it so early. In retrospect they may not have done it because Dawn didn't have many Pokemon that would pair well together.

Imagine now it'll be something like this:

Piplup and Pachirisu (they were used together before)
Buneary and Mammowswine (for twice your Ice Appeal action)
Cyndaquil being the newbie gets paired up with all others (Piplup at least once)

Hmm yes that might be it. If she lost so early on in the episode I don't think I'd remember her Pokemon.

Now that I recall, I remember seeing Nando's Sunflora and Kricitune perform so I guess it was a double performance.

Well I hope they save that after the Sunyshore Gym. I dont want the TG Arc, Filler Episodes Dawn's Contest/Pokethlon and then possibly another Filler or 2 and then Sunyshore.

Speaking of gaps.... Paul hasn't appeared since DP132, and since we know 153 is a James' episode, that's a gap of 21 episodes without Paul (almost a new record, only beaten by DP16-> DP40).

I'd say... PAUL4SUNYSHORE4SURE!

Well Paul tends to show-up right before/during/after most gym battles.

Wow I didn't even take notice of that. Paul could appear for a short time like he did in the Maze episode but I doubt it'll happen in the James episode.
