September's Plot Discussion

Normally I'd wait til Netkun gets updated to start a new month's discussion, but apparently the magazine's already out in Japan, and our dear friends at the Japanese mewheart forums have posted something about this month's plot. Really brief post from the poster, but apparently, Ruby's encounter with Celebi is explained, everyone who died was brought back to life, and both Ruby and Sapphire completed their goals.

Wally returned Ruru to Ruby, and also the Pokedex back to Prof. Birch. The Red and Blue Orbs somehow transformed into the Ruby and Sapphire plates, and somehow ended up in Giovanni's hands, foreshadowing the plot of FRLG.

In FRLG, Deoxys has somehow lost its normal and speed forms (possibly related to the Ruby/Sapphire plates), and Mewtwo is regaining the upperhand.

For BF, Emerald begins his challenge at the Battle Dome, but there appears to be real trainers instead of virtual ones this time.

wow i predicited the batle of deoxys and mewtwo about three months ago and its coming to a close ^^. Yay for Red and Mewtwo!

Yes, any mention of Gold in Ruby's encounter with Celebi? And I assume he released it at the end? I just knew everyone would be brought back to life, it was just too obvious. Did Ruby really accept Ruru back? It seems like he would be more likely to let Wally keep it. Eh, whatever. I'm just glad we're getting more Manga stuffs (FINALLY)

So everything is summed up in this chapter, eh? Can't wait to find out what the hell's going on. And why has the Mewtwo vs. Deoxys battle gone on for about 500 chapters?

Well yeah, I mean, Ruby doesn't know much about Celebi except that it's legendary and can reverse time. So really it would be pointless to have a Pokemon he doesn't know about.

Here's hoping Ruru's now a Gardevoir; it seems so Ruby-ish. And Deoxys losing it's forms could be Groudon and Kyogre's power proving two much to handle. Nothing on BF, though. I can't think of an explanation.

Yeah, really. Everyone being brought back to life? C'mon. What a way to copp out. Shoulda left 'em dead... Would've been more dramatic and had more impact...

Anyways. Well, glad to see it wrapped up. So, where do you think the FR/LG saga is going to go after the Mewtwo/Deoxys battle? Anywhere?

And since the RSE saga is over, they'll be releasing Volume 22 soon, correct? Not soon as in a couple weeks, but within a couple months time?

Another poster has posted a longer version of the RSE plot, and seems like the Celebi encounter wasn't explained afterall. The chapter started off with Ruby and Sapphire waking up on Ba.Goon, and Norman and Steven are already there to greet them. It is said that Celebi forwarded time a little, and when this chapter starts, everything is already settled. Outside Ba.Goon, Courtney flies on her Swellow, and decides to give contests another go.

There is only one day before the 80 day pact, which is 19 Sep, the birthday of Sapphire. Sapphire challenges Norman at Petalburg, while Ruby convinces the emcee guy who hosted the hyper rank contest (in the flooded Slateport before) to host a special master rank contest for him, even though the venues are damaged.

Ruru remains a Kirlia when returned to Ruby, and Wally also returns Grovyle (no, it didn't evolve into Sceptile) along with the dex to Birch.

The next day, which is the exact 80th day of the pact, Ruby and Sapphire meet up in their secret base, and their rivalry ends up as a tie, obviously. From a TV in the secret base, Ruby's mom is broadcasted, congratulating Sapphire on her birthday. This also reveals more details about Ruby and Sapphire:

Ruby - birthday: 2 July, birthstone: Ruby
Sapphire - birthday: 9 Sep, birthstone: Sapphire

And as said before, the Red and Blue Orbs transformed into the Ruby and Sapphire plates, and Giovanni takes them away, before leading the Beast Warrior Trio to depart from Hoenn.

Oh, and as I've said many times, there will likely be further extrapolation on many things when these chapters, particularly this last one, end up in the comics. So don't fret even if it seems there are still many unanswered things. Some, unfortunately not all, will be dealt with after the comic compilation.

Interesting....although given the pace of some months Im very surprised how much happens. Im quite dissapointed with the way they did things - obviously the characters were killed after the plan to bring Celebi occured, so it seems cheap.

Having Steven die (not Norman...he's cool ^^) would make it feel more realistic - someone had to be sacrificed for the cause, almost. Either way it looks to be interesting with Sapphires battle against Norman.

FR/LG - Sorry what? I couldn't care less we've had a Deoxys/Mewtwo struggle for far too long. Its boring. They dont even show off any nifty moves....

Emerald: Lol I think Emerald's going to find this a lot tougher.

I agree with a few people here in that I don't like how they ended the R/S/E story. But, whatever, Thats not going to stop me from getting the 22nd volume.

So then, now that Giovanni has the ruby and Sapphire plates. I wonder if we will see Ruby and Sahhpire in FR/LG
