Hearing the letter box flap and the heavy footsteps of someone moving away from your door, you wonder why you are receiving mail at this time. Your look around on the floor for a letter, but instead of the usual long white envelope you are used to, you find a slightly crumpled brown paper envelope with a suspect coffee ring mark on it. You turn the envelope over and seeing your name hastily scrawled on the front of the tatty paper envelope, your thoughts turn towards that bill you've been expecting for all those long distance calls you made to your forum friends who live half way across the world..

Some of you look at the envelope with fear, while others hastily smuggle the letter into the toilet where you sit in solitude gently prying it open and praying there is something remotely more interesting inside. The paper inside smells of coffee, which isn't normal for something demanding money. Gently you tease out a crushed paper slip that has big letters stamped over it's delicate writing...

Instructions for all attending guests

Following the success of past events, this years Annual Winter Ball will take place from November 1st 2009 until January 31st 2010. However, due to the global economic crisis and massive cutbacks on budget, there is no fancy party this year. In fact, since the majority of the Forum budget was spent on server upgrades, new features and a 42 inch plasma screen for the moderators lounge, there's not enough left to spend on a proper party. However, we did manage to open up the RPG Forum Offices where a shabby old CD player will churn out repetitive 80's music and a buffet will consist of cocktail sausages and bits of cheese on sticks.

The budget also didn't stretch to providing insurance for all the weird and wonderful beings that usually attended the Winter ball, and as such this year's Office party is for members only. That's right, it's you that gets to come to the party, and not your creations. While this may not be quite as much fun, it's a chance for you to mingle with your fellow RPGers. You are required to provide an adequate character form for security reasons, and so that other guests know who you are, and also so that security on the front door lets you in. ID Badges must be worn at all times.

As always the Winter Ball Office Party will encompass the three most popular events over it's time. November plays host to Hallowe'en, December to Christmas and during January we will welcome in the New Year. As always all guests are invited to come to the Hallowe'en segment of the event in Fancy Dress, and will be allowed to change guises for the Christmas segment. Food and drinks will be provided from all corners of the many plains of reality SPPf Staff Canteen, so that no guest is left out.

If you wish to attend the party, please RSVP in this thread by filling out the following form. Fields listed are required, with exception to Costume and Real Name, which is optional for all guests. Any other fields you may add as necessary. You do not have be entirely truthful with your form, but do not be too outrageous, try and remember who and what you are reprinting.

Site Security asks that any and all grievances and grudges be left at the door. Weapons will be permitted as decorative pieces only. No fighting is permitted in the building, but whatever happens outside is fine, because it means we can't be held responsible for it. A floor map will be provided of the offices so you can find your way around, but please be aware the party is taking place in a working environment, so some areas will be off limits. Security reserves the right to escort anyone from the building that they so wish to. These rules are not subject to question and are enforced by the RPG Board of Governors, who will also be in attendance.

Description: I am(I guess I should take in first person format because this is myself) an average white skined boy. My height stands at approximately 4'8 or 4'9 which seems pretty average.

My hair is a kind of darkish brown color which is not very long. My hair is pretty far away from my eyebrows but is starting to get long. My eyes are brown and so are my eyebrows as well which matches my hair. For the Office Party, my hair will be neatly combed, although I don't really need it combed and I'll put gel in my hair.

For clothes, I like to wear clothes of red and black. I'll wear a black tux and black ribbon like thing that all tuxes have tied to my neck. I'll have a white button down, classy shirt on under it. In the left pocket of my tux, I'll have a red napkin neatly put in there. My pants will be black with a slightly lighter shade of black on the outer side of my pants. My shoes will be black as well with a black belt.

Personality: Ask some of my good real life friends. They'll tell you that I am a really nice and generous person. I always usually say "please" and "thank you" and all that. If something falls off a table or some other thing like that, I'd probably pick it up. I like to help people with any problems they might have.

Costume: For the Halloween portion of the Office Party, I will be Mario from the Mario video game series.

Personality: Shy would be one way to put it, but that’s way to over used, the strong and silent type would be preferred by me. Though I'm pretty quiet, I have the body of a 13 year old and the ego of a professional boxer. Don’t bother trying to tell me you’re better than I am because I'll tell you differently or just lie until I'm proven wrong. I'll practically never start a conversation unless I'm completely comfortable with being around you and usually only responds with a few words, so if you can get me to say more congratulations.

Though a little hot headed at times and I often like to keep to myself, I can be nice and rather thoughtful when I deem necessary. People tell me that I'm quiet the pessimist and that I act rude towards people who give the impression of “I’m all that” also I'm Hydrophobic towards large bodies of water and I just hate getting wet in general.

I do well in situations that include pressure, but I don't do well under authority though I'm a great listener.

I’m of average height for an adult female human at a decent healthy weight. I’ve got dark blond-brown hair, medium blue eyes, and fair skin. I wear oval-shaped glasses with a bronze-looking rim. My fingers are a tad long and there’s a small mole on my left palm (honest to goodness). Most of the time, I wear blue jeans and t-shirts, often of the tie-dyed variety. Due to the time of year, I’d be wearing white sneakers unless a costume requires otherwise. Whatever I’m wearing, there’s probably a cat hair on it somewhere. People tell me that I move quietly.

Personality: I’m much quieter in person than I am over the internet. I am an excellent listener to the point of, well, not talking much. Most of the time, I would rather by working on some story (truly and utterly obsessed with writing; RPGs are part of that). I have a leaning towards being philosophical, but don’t have a scholarly training in it. So it’s no surprise that some people call me weird.

That's basically what I look like now, except for some crucial key differences. I'm wearing make-up in that picture (it was a headshot for a play), so my face is a lot paler. My hair is also thicker and longer, and it curls at the end noticeably. As for my clothes, I tend to wear a dark blue fleece jacket, black jeans, and a plain light blue button shirt underneath. It hangs very loosely on me, since I'm a stick =] As for my height and weight, I'm roughly 5"11, and 65 kilos, making me decently tall, and slim. Several of my female friends actually envy my figure... Though I can't imagine why.

Personality: Well, I don't consider myself very pleasant. I have an EXTREMELY short temper, for one thing. However, I'm quite intelligent, and not exactly modest about it. I'm very bookish, and in groups, I tend to be pretty quiet, though I'm decent in a one-to-one conversation (good listener). I seem to have a few bad habits, such as twiddling with my hair, and biting my nails. However, I am quite open, and a generally kind person.

If I'm in a bad mood, or I've lost my temper, I'm pretty nasty. I tend to be incredibly sarcastic, and scowl a great deal. My comments are snarky, offhand, and rather mean. Personality: I don't talk much and generally need someone else to instigate the conversation, once I've made friends will someone I will talk to them most of the time but never very lengthy conversations. I am a good listener. I prefer to be on my own of with very few people then staying in the crowd and taking part in the conversations, I suppose you could call it slight shyness which I try to hide by trying to act "cool" when people talk to me. Personality: I consider myself to be a kind person, but I agree at times I can be a little in-your-face and I am occasionally mean to people I know and trust. I'm quite intelligent, and I work hard at things, making sure for example that I get good marks at school.

I am extremely sensitive, and it takes very little to make me be very upset, and in some more extreme situations, cry. I've got a short fuse. Very little makes me lash out. Also Professional Michael Scott Adorer, but nobody can bear to tell her that he won't be visiting any time soon. She keeps trying to schedule appointments with a Mr. Dwight.

Description: Standing at 5"10 even without the high-heeled boots, Psychic's skin is strangely pale, her hair long, blond and wavy, and eyes a sweet blue, usually brought out by the proper eye-liner, mascara et al. A fan of costume jewelry, nice shoes that are also good for walking, ties and contacts over her glasses except for when they make her eyes hurt, Psychic will usually try to get away with wearing jeans, low-cut tops and jokingly flirting with her boss. Since her antics aren't always that amusing, she usually just goes with black slacks or skirts and a slightly more modest but still comfortable v-neck. And gets shot down by Dan a lot. Usually runs home to her boyfriend to complain about it.

Personality: Psychic is to the RPG Forum Offices as Ringo was to The Beatles; goofy, a joker, an actor, probably smarter than she lets on, and a big fan of octopus gardens. But really, Psychic is generally the one who's always kidding around and procrastinating with getting the filing done, being both unproductive and usually not all that funny. She is quite friendly and easy to approach, both on a personal level and when there's a problem, but is often too lazy to get off her own butt to really do anything. Fairly nerdy, she is happy to talk about anything from 90's cartoons to internet memes, all the while trying to keep her pervertedness levels down. She does, however, know how to get serious when the times calls for it, and will take on responsibility and get authoritative when needed.

Psychic is going to be attending the office party in her pink and white Captain Falcon cosplay, ala Super Smash Bros. Includes white suit, helmet, scarf, belt, high-heeled boots and smexy gloves, hair crumpled into her helmet with some locks escaping.
(Believe it or not, that really is me at a local con with a Zero-Suit Samus cosplayer. XD)

Also, Psychic will be in Florida for New Years', so may have to communicate via conference call at that time. She'll be around when she can, though, making enough "Falcon Punch!" jokes to drive a man mad.

Basically, I look like that. Short, wavy, dark-red hair. I stand about 5' 8" and I weigh between 185 and 200 lbs, so I'm a bit chubby. My attire consists usually of a t-shirt, perferably blue, or dress shirts of various colors. And cargo shorts, or dress pants, weather permitting. On top of all that, I wears a black windbreaker jacket that my friends have dubbed, "the Tombreaker".

Personality: I am a rather quiet individual, as I prefering to keep to myself even during social gatherings. I'm in no ways a loner though, I just have trouble opening up to people. I'm very smart, as I accel in both science and English classes back at Mesick High. My favorite science though is astronomy, the study of celestial bodies, and I hope to become an astronomer someday.

Costume: I will show up to the party in none other than a Gundam Exia cosplay outfit, just because of its badassery.



Other: I will bring my telescope, my Celestion NexStar 130 SLT reflector telescope, my Nintendo DS, which I've hacked to include a media player and intergrated internet, otherwise, a suped-up DSi.

Description(May do a drawing later): I am a 5’5” tall female of light brown skin tone. I am on the heavy side and have a large bust yet a flat bottom. My hair is jet black and goes down to my shoulders though it often fashion in a single, back of the head ponytail. I have dark brown eyes that are 20/20 vision with my glasses (silver wired framed, narrow oval lens with scratches everywhere except the lens) on. I have a black spot (don’t know if I should call it a mole or a freckle) below my left eye just below the bottom of my lens (sometimes covered by it). I have pierced ears though I’m not wearing earrings. My eyebrows are very thick but I think it look good on me. I tend to wear a lot of jeans and t-shirts on a daily bases but my clothes will change depending on the weather, occasion and my current desire.

Personality: If you were to just meet me on the street, I would be rather shy and probably wouldn’t speak to you unless I know you. Starting a conversation with me will get me to talk and if we have much in common I will quickly grow fond of you. From the quick opening up you will notice my talkativeness as well as my cheerfulness. People who I know and who are my friends will feel the full blast of it with a side of eccentric-ness. I’m a good listener and if it’s something I know about I will be actively adding comments with it. I have the tendency of blurting out random comments at random places of conversations. I’m also a bit sarcastic and something annoying but I think it just part of my charm. I’m not all sparkle and sunshine, when alone I tend to be a tab pessimistic and sometimes a little depress but when around people that tend to all just disappear; I don’t know being around people just makes me want to see the good things of life.

Costume: I will be dress like Death or Grim Reaper (whichever you prefer) however I will carrying a scythe with two blades (I made it up, I call it the Twin Blade Scythe), my hair will be dyed silver (because I think silver hair is cool) and I will have three red bloody looking claw marks on my right cheek (why not).

Other: I will glomp the first person on my friends list I see; so you better watch your back and front, my friends. If you do manage to scare me beware I have a reflex of hitting the person. I love lemonade and any kind of pasta. I will be bring my bag of stuff which will contain many things: my DS lite (it’s so peach pink), my GBA SP (I luvz that thing), many games ranging from DS to GB games (for my gaming systems), my karaoke machine with two mics (now all we need is a TV), a camera (because taking pictures is fun) and a clip board with paper and drawing material (for those boring and lonely moments when the battery in game system die). I think pink is cool! Other random fact here.

Description: Moogles is at an average height for his age standing at around 5'7". He has short brown hair that is gelled so that it looks spiked up at the front. He has a set of brown eyes. he has a slightly bigger then average build, it is mostly comprised by muscle, rather then fat which is what most people think when they first see him. He does play a lot of sports, so if you happen to catch him with his shirt off (which somehow you probably will), he is fairly built. Speaking of clothes, other then his costume, he will be wearing a plain white T-shirt with blue jeans. For his winterwear, he will have a black hoodie with white scarf. He also has a nice watch on his right wrist.

Personality: Moogles is a rather interesting character. When he is in a situation where he is uncomfortable, especially when it's meeting new people (like going to a new school, for instance.) he is extremely shy. He is so shy that he will barely try to put any effort forward to be social. It's required that the other person starts the conversation. When that person does though, he is a great kid and is very loud. He likes to joke around a lot. Many people hace called him a party animal, he tends to shake off things lightly. Whenever something like a disaster arrives, he changes and merely asks what he needs to do to make the situation better. He doesn't want to completely take charge, he just wants to help to his fullest.

Costume: Moogles will have two costumes that night. One is a simple black Masquerade Mask with a matching cape. The other is going to be a cosplay of Takashi Kawamura from The Prince of Tennis.

Other: Whenever he has his "masquerade" costume on, he will be going under the pseudonym of "Coolthade". (We don't how many times he will try to pull of this facade during the haloween segment so be aware.) He will be his normal self whenever he is in his cosplay.

Description(Photos, drawings or sprites are accepted): I'm not very tall, only around 5'0" and a lot of people say I'm quite thin. I'm not really athletic, but I can hold my own in athletic activities. My hair is jet black, though caught in the sunlight it sometimes looks dark brown. It comes down to my chest and for the most part, is perfectly straight (though it does go wavy when I wash it). My eyes are a dark, chocolate brown. In fact, when I was much younger they were almost black. I have no piercings, though someday I might consider ears and nose.

As for clothes, you'll probably see me with a green Adidas hoodie with a sky blue top underneath. I'll be wearing black athletic pants and a pair of white and black Adidas shoes. In the winter I'll trade in my hoodie for a longer grey wool coat and also add a pink checkered scarf and a pair of Ugg boots to my ensemble. Formal wear includes a shorter black dress with a purple ribbon tied around the waste and matching purple flats.
Personality: I guess you could say that I'm not the most social person in the world, but I enjoy meeting new people and making new friends. I'm a bit of a geek in my own right, doing quite well in school and fair enough in sports that I participate in (okay, that would include anything in Phys. Ed. and figure skating). I'm usually kind of quiet, but I know how to be loud and spontaneous when I need or want to be. I can take things more seriously then they need to be and I can over-react a bit. Apparently I gossip a lot as well, but I think I've cut back on that significantly and I don't tend to do it too much.
